This shall mark the return of the Official Sig Battle Tournament for 2013, as originally created and hosted by your very own, Nero Radec. For the few that remember these being hosted, you already know how to expect it to work using a combination of community and panel votes and my overall set up/layout.

Offer any ideas and prizes you expect during this contest of sorts or advice to improve the sig battle. Thank you all. Shortly I shall fix and improve this .

~ Rules ~

<> Original works only. They can be made to whoever you wish be it yourself, PS3trophies.com or just someone on the site.

<> PM me all submissions so not to allow anyone to steal ideas. =D

<> Signature size restrictions are 500 X 500 max, but can be smaller if needed. Custom sizes can be arranged if needed, but let me know in PM first, so I can determine whether it will be allowed or not.

<> No flaming or arguing with anyone or about anyone's work. If you have an problem with anything, PM me or an associate about the issue and don't comment on this page about it. You will be reported if you don't follow this. You have been warned.

<> No special amount of posts needed to compete.

<> Once you compete in a round and lose, you sit out until the next tournament. If you win, you wait until the semi final rounds have begun and then the finals. Thank you.

<> NO changing votes. Put it in for the one you like best and leave it. If you really must change it, PM me first or you will face consequences (severe rape-age by Kiwi-monster).

<> No spamming the thread please

The way this will work is as follows

* Several rounds facing one Sig maker against another. Some triple threat match ups.

* Everyone will vote by posting the name of the sig maker of each round that they feel is the best of the two. WITH VALID REASONING AND EXPLANATION!!!!

* The winner will proceed on to the next round and the loser is eliminated until the next event/tourney. This will repeat until there is only one left.

* The grand winner of the tournament, will receive rep from myself and my entire panel(and in some cases a site trophy). Also note, that each round winner will be repped as well. The tournament winner may be eligible for a prize.

* The community will be voting along with my panel of judges giving their input on this as well so not to allow favoritism. I'm hoping this will be as unbiased as possible.

PRIZE FOR WINNER
* Various amounts of PSN cards, blurays, etc will be available. This tournament will be your choice up to a value of around 20 dollars -PSN card, bluray, or whatever else.

Tournament 2013 Open

Round One-Four Entrants- Bioshock (1, 2, or Infinite)
Deadline for Submission January 11h.

I am starting the first rounds of the tournament and voting will commence once the entries have been posted. Post which signature/image you like from each Set, along with your reasoning explaining why you prefer that choice. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask me. Please refer to the posted rules and limit posts in the thread to votes or questions when voting is not occurring. I prefer questions in PM or VM please. Thank you.

Posting the first two rounds now. Followed by the next two sets in a few days. After a week's time, voting will stop and winners chosen by a combination of the community votes and panel votes. Then the semi-final rounds will begin for the winners. Good luck.

Cool and awesome guys. NOW before I start, post some topics you would like.. As you all remember, the tournament features several different rounds that will test different areas, such for examples, Batman, or Video games, or comics, etc. Just different topics.

Name some that you would like to see while I organize and set up the panel and the rules.

Since this is a video game site, I imagine video games being a good theme. I think Super Heros/Villians would work too.

I think there needs to be a range from generic to specific. Video games or Movies could be themes for one round, but then specify it into only Vertical sigs or Black and White sigs for other rounds. A good balance will shake things up and challenge the artists.

That is most definitely the plan.

@ Chambers. I don't do anonymous entries. Never have and sticking with that this time around. As before, you have to explain why your vote for a particular entry is better than the rest . Just update on your questions there. And yeah different themes per round

That is also what I'm going to work on . Something that will show and shape different works and truly define the better artists/designers out there and challenge new aspiring workers . Thank you . Back in 2010 I created this little idea and was doing this up until my absence and then upon return, the site crash..

Updated the rules and such a slight bit and added in the part about the prizes up for grabs for the grand champion .

Also, name some themes you would like to see coming up, any special stipulations, etc . namely for the semi-final rounds or FINALs.

Just explaining why they think one sig looks better than another. Can't just say it looks good. Just a brief explanation like the effects or shading. Pretty much going into the design being better and such like that. Doesn't need to be a big explanation, but you can't just throw out a name.

And any worries on the names being on the sigs? Never had any issues beforehand and really like to keep it that way.

As long as they give reason and actually mean their vote that their friend created, then I can't fault them there at all . Merely saying it's epic, I will be slightly biased towards accepting their vote. Just a bit more explanation into it would be nice. And I'll message people that don't seem to understand just to make the clarification. That's also the point of the panel. Just a mere discussion on upcoming rounds, and discussing the votes, and other things such as counting and keeping up with the thread.

As for names, I'll keep it like the originals and if seems becomes an issue, I'll fix it.
