So I found this cool tutorial called Face Shattering Effect
Create a Face Shattering Effect | 10Steps.SG
I was wondering if someone wanted to take a shot at it with one of the large Platinum trophy or Gold trophy image? Not sure if it'll come out looking good, as the images aren't as 'full' as a face, but maybe? If not, use a face render of a popular PlayStation game character?
If it looks sweet, I think I can definitely use the render on a splash screen, or other areas of the upcoming site design.
I'd attempt doing it myself, but I'm coding at the moment and don't have the free time.
Just make sure the final product is of a large image size, 600px or more wide. And keep the .PSD so further editing is possible.

Total Awards: 9That looks interesting.

That would be something I'd try out, but I would have to find the time for that.

Personally I don't think that the platinum trophy image really has the characteristics to replicate the same effect as the tutorial, which is designed to use the curvature of the face and that really helps the edges of the cubes.
With the platinum image it just seems to look too rough around the edges of the 3D cubes
