    AC3 MP supports "Micro-Transactions"

Yes you read that right. Meaning that if you want to unlock better items, then you would have to spend real money from your wallet in order to acquire better MP items regardless of your online level.

Assassin’s Creed III‘s multiplayer component will allow you to spend real-money in order to acquire some in-game items regardless of your current experience level.
“Erudito Packs” for the game were discovered in the latest PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace updates. Erudito appears to be a form of in-game currency and is available to buy in several denominations ranging from a pack of 20 for $0.99 to 925 for $19.99.

    • Assassin’s Creed III UPlay Passport – ($9.99)
    • Assassin’s Creed III 155 Erudito Pack – ($4.99)
    • Assassin’s Creed III 20 Erudito Pack – ($0.99)
    • Assassin’s Creed III 380 Erudito Pack – ($9.99)
    • Assassin’s Creed III 50 Erudito Pack – ($1.99)
    • Assassin’s Creed III 925 Erudito Pack – ($19.99)
The PlayStation Store update mentions that all the content available to buy with Erudito is only available from within Assassin’s Creed III and will not be downloadable from the PlayStation Store. I doubt that this content will be anything game breaking, it will most likely be experience boosts and cosmetic items, however, this is the first time that Ubisoft has attempted something like this with the series’ multiplayer component, will it pay off?

Y'all think this will work or no?

Is this like battlefield 3 where you can earn the unlocks yourself or buy them? or just buy them only if its buy only pretty sad move on their part, that suits things like free to play games more not something youve already paid for.

Don't see the point in paying for something you can unlock. Unlocking stuff make the game all the more fun.

I think this will work like Mass Effect 3's multiplayer, so it's totally optional.

No i will not spend a penny on the multiplayer on AC 3. micro transactions like that disgust me especially when itīs a game that dosen't fit to have micro transactions, i better be able to unlock it all without paying some stupid fee

There are always people who will take advantage of this for one reason or another. This is hardly the first game to use this sort of system -- RPGs (in particular jRPGs) offer this sort of thing all the time where you can buy extra "goodies" through the PSN store to speed your way through the game.

    I could've sworn you were Ps360 for a second.
Though to be fair, you're right.

Ps360 is many things, but had he typed those words, he would've been totally right, because it's the truth .

I read about this a few weeks ago, that Ubi wanted to do this with their games I didn't actually think they would go through with it. Anyway once I get my MP trophies I won't be playing online anymore.

UC3 did this and brought about nothing but complaints

they introduced DLC to us and we were pissed because we felt they were milking us dry
now more and more games will start implementing this and gamers will cry more about it
i mean not like they have to buy it

but i agree it causes imbalance in matchmaking since its pay to win
2 level 10's fight but one has more of a chance at winning because he bought a powerful weapon you get if you level up ro 30
    really unfair
