I made a small promise to myself that I was gonna try to get 99 prestige...Gonna be really difficult to do with people not playing it the way it was MEANT to be played. On that note, shouldn't we just make a thread, for all the ones who want to play it RIGHT, to add each other on a friends list? We won't get any points or experience, but that way we can at least have fun playing it

I like that idea, but I have to suggest just using the boosting thread. Be sure to specify that you want to play legit though

Yeah but it's not exactly BOOSTING, it's more along the lines of just "playing legit". Having fun, ya know?

The only time I'm on the roof is to escape during corrupted/steal the artifact as it provides a quick means of breaking the line of sight before hiding out somewhere. They are probably the only times I think it can be considered acceptable because the game modes are aimed at not being killed for as long as possible

I stopped playing Brotherhood because of people running around and not actually using the stealth approach because no one has the patience to stalk your prey the correct way

I played each game mode once for the trophy, but ended finding the most luck in Corruption and Escort. Basically, if the runners and roofers want to run and roof, it makes them easy targets for people playing legit.
In Escort, if I was on the defensive, I'd simply wait for someone to come running up to kill the VIP I was escorting then kill them if I could before they got the kill, or take them out after they got the kill, then run to the next VIP spawn. Admittedly, if I was on the attack, I would take to the roofs once I got near the VIP, so I could more easily identify who was guarding the VIP if anyone, so I could try and slip passed them and get the kill, or watch for them to come at me and stun them before going for the VIP kill. I was regularly getting 4000-5000 exp in Escort.
Corruption was a bit tougher, due to people being able to spot you with perks while you're hiding and uncorrupted, but I simply set two different skill sets, one defensive and one offensive, and switched between them depending on whether I was corrupted or not. I was regularly within the last 2 uncorrupted, unless I was at the top of the target list and had multiple pursuers at the same time. That never ends well.
But all in all, I made my run through the MP before the n00bs became too bad, and basically played the game modes that they played the least, and so found my time to be enjoyable.
And I gotta say, there were a few times playing Manhunt, when I was stalking my target, and my pursuer would drop on me from the roofs, getting 800+ exp from the kill. As much as it pissed me off that I don't get my kill, I had to applaud my killer, since they'd truly gotten the drop on me. Moments like those are what AC MP was created for.

You enter Prestige mode once you rank up to level 50. Prestige Model levels run from 1 to 99. Basically it takes ~600,000xp to get to level 50 and it takes the same amount of xp to Prestige one level. So somebody who is level 50 with a gold star that has a "2" in the middle of it has Prestiged twice, implying they've earned enough xp to reach rank 50 three times. Once to get from rank 1 to rank 50, once to get to Prestige 1, and once more to get to Prestige 2.

So somebody at Prestige 4 has 3,000,000xp or more, give or take a bit.

Prestige gives you bragging rights, but more importantly it unlocks new customization items for your Personas and it helps ensure you get pitted against high-ranked opponents, since that's how the match-making algorithms work (or they try to, at least).

alright so you need 600.000.000 points to get to prestige 99. The time I reach this level i'll already be retired from life I guess lol

    Thanx for the answer man

Wait, too many zeros. You'd need roughly 60,000,000. Maybe a little more as I think I rounded down to 600,000. You can check out the leaderboards to see who has the highest xp total. I checked about a week ago and a couple people were over 20,000,000xp.

OBS yea 60 millions is what you need.

Lets see. I was messing around with all the modes yesterday and I got appr. 75000 points in like 6 hours. So if I play 6 hours everyday (thats ofcourse impossible) I'll reach 1.000.000 in appr. 2 weeks. Multiply that by 60 times = 120 weeks = 30 months = 2,5 years lol (that assuming you play every single day for 6 hours lol)

    Good luck everyone

I agree. Great MP game, but stupid people ruin it. You've got people thinking theyre playing CoD and just equip the hidden gun and fire at their targets. I wonder if they feel proud with 8-10 kills and 1000XP. I'll hit 1000 XP by the 2 min mark. But all complaining aside, when you do get a game with people who understand the dynamics, in my opinion, the most addicting multiplayer game.

Relate to this so much I love the idea behind the multiplayer, its the use stealth for more points method which attracts me to it. People who just run..idk why they are there. Its only useful when they are running so much they fail to notice they are running straight into you, who can then get a successful kill from it. Annoys me the most on team matches, when your team is a group of runners and they kill every target for 100xp and leave you with no time to get in a decent kill which actually fits the game's meaning. Sometimes you will need to run, but every damn second? No thanks ;[

I liked AC MP (even tho i hate MP in games) but they throw everything away what an assassin should be. stay out of sight, kill your target and pay close to your surrounding. Ubisoft change the point system too but that didtnt stop them. Still running around like an idiot and roof camping. they ruin the game for me. when AC3 comes out im doing all the MP trophies to get it over with so i dont have to go back and deal with all of those stupid noobs online. Oh ya i hope the Co-Op is true

Only read the Original Post, but I totally agree, and that is the main reason I don't play online, or have gotten the platinum for Brotherhood, because the players are so dumb. It's annoying. Who else is hoping for a Single Player only AC III?
