Terribly disappointed with battlefield 3 campaign

The campaign for bf3 is downright horrible. I played like 5 missions so far and there is no destructibility and no big moments or action set pieces. The multiplayer however is very good. I feel thaty dice just threw in some shit campaign because they didnt want to sell a game with only multiplayer. What did you guys think about the campaign so far

That's not what I wanted to hear. I pick BF3 up tomorrow but not looking forward to it so much now. I've also pre-ordered MW3 so hopefully one of them is worth it.

You guys can't be serious with this shit. What did you expect? It's a military first person shooter with heavy emphasis on the multiplayer experience. If you expected a good single player experience, you were fooling yourself.

The only reason I'm playing the campaign (aside from trophies), is to practice my aim, since I'm a bit rusty as of late. I wasn't going into the campaign thinking I would be blown away, and I haven't been. Which shouldn't be surprising.

Yeah I don't know what kind of expectations you had but just going by every other fps out there you probably should have dialed it back a little.

Yes, you could even bring down whole houses in Bad Company 2. In all the COD games, you would probably just leave a black mark.

I enjoy SP in any game. Doesn't matter if it's CoD, BF, it doesn't matter. So once i get this game, ill definitely be doing SP first.

I think the BF3 SP experience is just meant to be as realistic as possible, unlike COD which will have random shit tossed in that wouldn't normally happen in reality.

I never got into the BF campaign, there's just so much random stuff and missions that seem to lead to nowhere...I think they focused more on realism than actual story quality as well as spending more of their time perfecting the multiplayer. I don't want to start a freaki COD vs BF flame war but I have to say, Infinity Ward's campaign actually have good story lines and voice acting.

i think the campaign is awesome,as for no destructibility, have you shot a fucking wall or pillar yet,the concrete chips off with every shot exposing rebar.shoot any thing wooden and it splinters exposing holes.what do you expect to take down a building with a bullet.

Don't let others opinions influence your final decision. There are a lot of blind sheep out there that bag on BF, but prefer COD even though it's inferior. Fanboy bias aside, COD is a simple little arcade game.

As far as something being destructible, go ahead and try to stay behind a wall on hard campaign, especially in that Paris mission I just beat. You can shoot through walls and pillars. It's actually realistic. I'm actually pretty pleased with the campaign so far
