Dark Souls official Strategy Guide by Future Press a must buy!

I'll be purchasing this guide because the most renown publisher in the world are handling it.

Furthermore, BradyGames and Prima don't come close to what Future Press provides in their game guides.

Well, I've got to admit it looks very badass. I might buy it just for the sake of buying it and due to the awesome things one can find inside official strategy guides .

I just went ahead and bought it. Not so much to use it, just more so to do with having it as a collectors item.

I went looking for this today, and the gamestop nearby didn't have any. I'm hoping the one by my house will have one. I wish I would've ordered it when I pre-ordered the game, but I don't think it was available yet.

Ok. I cancelled my order with Amazon.com because the book was delayed; so I went to my local Gamestop store has several copies.

I've bought Futurepress guides for a few years now, and have always been impressed with the quality of their work.

The depth of information plus the outstanding artwork they deliver in their guides are amazing, especially their Collector Edition hardcovers. Their Deus Ex Collector's Edition is simply amazing and I can't wait to receive my Dark Souls guide.

My only complaints are that they don't cover enough games, and a lot of N.A retailers don't carry their books. I typically have to take the ISBN # into an Indigo/Chapters and have them order it for me.

The woman at the Gamestop where I had my reserve tried to sell me a copy of the book (which I thought was silly), but when she went to go grab one to show it to me, she couldn't even find it on the shelf. I suppose they are selling like hotcakes. Lol. Now I definitely want one but my friends are going to totally pick on me. Aw well. If I can afford it (and find it), I'll be getting it.

Thanks to Thunder for the platbar!!!

I now have the strategy guide. I want to note that there are a lot of typos, but other than that it is magnificent. I've yet to have a chance to use it while playing but I have been reading it casually and it definitely has info in it I wouldn't have known otherwise. I got a plat on Demon's Souls and there's info in the guide that would've helped with that game too that I wasn't aware of.

Thanks to Thunder for the platbar!!!

I also got the guide, and it's pretty useful, with a few exceptions:

    * Sometimes the maps won't be correct or will be confusing. For example, Sen Fortress.
    * Typos, like Bob Hollywood mentioned
    * The Index in the back is terrible, it's way too short
    * The weapon list for the Knight's Honor trophy is apparently missing some weapons and mentions ones that are unnecessary
    * So far, one of the enemy drop lists has been incomplete

BUT otherwise it's a beautiful and very useful guide.
