Anyone find out what else this can be used for? I know you can either use it for souls, or to fortify your Flask, but are there any other uses that have been found yet? i.e. Weapon Upgrades?

Yes, I stumbled upon its use in a Gameinformer article. You can either...

1) Consume it for a ton of souls (stupid choice)
or
2) Give it to the Fire Keeper at Firelink Shrine (located down stairs near bonfire), and she'll permanently make your Est give you more health with each swig taken.

To my knowledge, I don't think it has any other uses than those two things.

Those two options osund similar to Demon's Souls, so I don't mind if that's all it does. If that is all it does, it's a good thing. At least you don't have to use it to upgrade a weapon.

Sith, to answer your question, no there are no other uses for the Fire Keeper Soul.

One of them is located in the church after you beat the "mini-me" tower guy.

There's another one in the upper portion of New Londo, accessible before you open the gate. You can actually get this one first, if you do a suicide run into New Londo.

Also, you can reinforce your Estus Flask at any fire keeper, not just the one in Firelink Shrine.

Wait, there is one Fire Keeper Soul you should not use: the one you get from Lautrec of Carim (the guy in gold armor) See spoiler for details:

If you free him from Undead Parish, and don't kill him, he will kill the Firelink Shrine Fire Keeper. When you track him down and kill him, you get her Fire Keeper Soul back. Don't use it, instead take it back to her to revive her.

I'd recommend doing all this. Though it's a hassle to have the Firelink Shrine bonfire gone until you almost finish Anor Londo, you get additional items from invading his world and killing him. Can't remember what though....

The fire keeper soul gives you 0 SOULS!!!! It instead gives you 5 humanity. Unlike most of the people on here I actually tested it rather than looking it up and relying on the first link the pops up in google. Just saying...
