I think you should only be able to use the ring of fog if you are being invaded. I have fought so many people that use the ring and the gravity miracle. It's not fun at all and if they have the ring I normally quit on them.

I dont think so. I summoned Solaire for the gargoyle fight. He died... but he was still available for other boss fights.

I think that is the video I used I just found out about another ring that makes you flip all acrobatically. Darkwood Grain Ring .... I didn't even know Shiva relocated to Blighttown. Oh well, I'll have to get this in the next playthrough.

Yup, once you are in the Forest Hunter covenant, Shiva locates to the swamp in Blighttown, near the ramp that leads up to the water wheel. Him and his bodyguard (whom you really get the ring from) are there. If you engage them there, and die, they relocate back to the forest.

Will they still be in Blighttown on this playthrough if I am no longer in the covenant and have no way of rejoining since I tried to kill the kitty?

If you go to the Priest, Carim, in the tower you rang the first bell in, you can get Absolution, essentially resetting all NPCs. You should be able to rejoin the covenant then. If you really don't care about rejoining the covenant, Shiva and his bodyguard remain in Darkroot Garden, if I'm not mistaken.

Nah I don't care about rejoining the covenant since I'm almost done with this playthrough... besides Father Carim met his maker rather early when my dog decided to jump on my lap and hit R2 when I was talking to Carim. Are they in the garden in front of Alvarin's stone hovel?

I'm not sure where they respawn, but before they make their way to Blighttown, Shiva and his bodyguard are directly in front of Alvaina's building, so I would imagine that's where they are now.

Yes, I talked to him there when I first joined the covenant and then he disappeared (to Blighttown I now know). Hmm.. I will see if they are there again.

Just wondering if anyone knows a site that shows a list of all the weapons/shields that need a bosses soul to make?
It's annoying going through all the pages of the wiki's.

Should be listed in the guide as well.. .

Getting close to starting my third playthrough of Dark Souls. Nearly 100 hours already....friggin' love this game!!!
