The official “Dark Souls” Facebook page has provided some details in regards to the GamesCom 2013 showing for the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Dark Souls 2.” According to a report by NeoGAF on Aug. 13, two community events will be held during the convention.

Fans will have to register in order to participate in both sessions, which is scheduled at night on Aug. 21 and Aug. 22. The events feature the first playable versions of “Dark Souls 2” showcasing the “new ways of dying the game has in store.” Furthermore, the official “Dark Souls” Facebook page also teased that there will be “a lot of surprises” for fans.

A playable demo of “Dark Souls 2” was features at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. However, only the invited press members were able to try out the open-world action role-playing game. With GamesCom being a public convention, attendees should get some hands-on time with the sequel provided that they register for the two events in advance.
The 2013 iteration of GamesCom will start on Aug. 21 and end on Aug. 25. “Dark Souls 2,” which is currently in development at the From Software studio, is set to launch next March in North America and other regions.
