    quick question

so im starting up skyrim again after a couple months away and noticed that my high elf doesnt need to come up for air when underwater, has it always been this way? i usually play argonian so i dont have to worry about being in water and can escape into deep water if necessary, can you drown in skyrim like in oblivion?

Unless something changed, High Elves can drown. I played as one, and I was able to normally be underwater for about 10 seconds before my health would start decreasing and I'd have to come up for air.

With my new character I also noticed this with the Nord but I can't confirm if its meant to be this way or not.

I don't think a meter used to be there, I didn't even know you could drown I was never underwater long enough to find out
