so im starting up skyrim again after a couple months away and noticed that my high elf doesnt need to come up for air when underwater, has it always been this way? i usually play argonian so i dont have to worry about being in water and can escape into deep water if necessary, can you drown in skyrim like in oblivion?

Unless something changed, High Elves can drown. I played as one, and I was able to normally be underwater for about 10 seconds before my health would start decreasing and I'd have to come up for air.

Total Awards: 12finally started taking some damage while underwater for long periods of time but no meter showing my remaining air, just start taking damage after a certain amount of time, wasnt there a meter before? or am i just thinking of oblivion?

I don't think a meter used to be there, I didn't even know you could drown
I was never underwater long enough to find out
