I am trying to finish up the Thieves' Guild questline but you need the thieves guild armor to upgrade to thieves guild master armor, thus finishing the questline. Well, because the armor was shit, I dropped it to free up some space, back when I first got it. Now I am all pissed off and I do not want to have to restart just for this fuckin trophy. Am I screwed or is there a way to get the armor?

I didn't have the Thieves Guild armor on me when I got the final armor, but I did have it stored in my house in Whiterun. I've read about this before, people saying they couldn't finish the quest because of this. Seems weird I got the armor without having the other in my inventory. I know I said I had stored, but doesn't seem like that would count. How far along between saves are you?
I have one specific container I keep Daedric items & stuff like Thieves Guild armor in, to make sure I don't sell/shitcan something I may need later.

You're going to have to restart or reload to an earlier save.
I'd recommend making multiple saves (especially once you go for the artifacts) due to buggy quests
+2 Epic Animals above me!

a friend of mine actually was able to buy his back from a merchant he sold it to. some people say it goes away after a certain amount of in game hours. not really sure though, good luck.

That's why I never drop shit that looks/sounds important, regardless of how shitty it's armor/damage rating is.
Enjoy starting the game again.

Sorry Luck, that sucks. I know when I was going for the FF13 plat I had two lists going to make sure I didn't miss a singe item needed. Is the quest at least something you can do over again pretty quickly or is it pretty far in the game.

Ok, I have reloaded a save that was at the start of the last quest in the questline (Darkness returns) and I still have 2 pieces of the armor. I still have to do the damn 40 jobs again though

That's too bad. That's why I also don't drop/sell anything (unless it's obvious trash) on any game because of this instances, and I'm glad I built that mentality(?) on games

It does suck having to start over, at least it's an
game. I plan to start a new character just for shits & giggles.
