Ryan Reynolds confirmed for being Deadpool

Ryan Reynolds Will Star in ‚€˜Deadpool‚€™

You knew it was only a matter of (chimichanga) time until this: The news, via Deadline, that Reynolds is signing on with Fox to star in ‘Deadpool,’ the ‘X-Men’ spinoff about the “Merc with a Mouth.”It’s one of the most improbable movie-character comebacks in history. Fox debuted Deadpool (ish) in 2009’s ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine,’ where Ryan Reynolds played the character as a wise-cracking mercenary with a couple of swords and a bad attitude. At the climax of the film, though, creative license (and some truly awful makeup effects) turned Reynolds into a mute martial artists with giant swords coming out of his arms. Because that’s what you think of when you think of Deadpool: A guy who doesn’t talk with huge sword claws.
    yes

its who everyone wants to be deadpool.

now all we need is to keep the script at a "rated R" level like planned and it will be amazing

I have high hopes that he'll be able to redeem himself after the Origins movie. As long as they let him talk, and like you said make it rated R it'll have a good chance of doing better this time.

I think they already said somewhere that they'd likely film it as an "R" rated movie, trim certain parts to make the studio happy with a PG-13 theatrical release, then when the DVD comes out, we'll have the actual uncut "R" rated version.

    Morons around the world rejoice.

Now I just hope we someday get an AXIS Carnage movie - that'd be better than anything Deadpool could ever hope to be, just like in the comic!

The 2010 Leaked script was as R As it could be and is the perfect comic book movie from those who fully read it.

they said recently that they rewrote the script to try to dodge the R rating while keeping R content at the same time.
