Total Awards: 10Cumulative winnings, doesn't matter about your loses, and doesn't have to be in one sitting. All 7,777 coins do need to be won in slots though, and doesn't include the winnings from the chocobo races.
Took me about 4 hours to do, while watching shows on my computer.

Oh thanks, i worried that I would have to count my loses as well.

Total Awards: 16Actually I don't think that's correct. I believe you have to hit he jackpot (777) on the highest setting, I can't remember the name though. I don't believe its for having or winning that many coins. I played the slots for about 10 minutes and I got it after hitting the 777 jackpot. I bought around 5,000 coins before I started and with my winnings I stopped at around 10,000 coins so I only won roughly 5,000.
If it requires you to win 7,777 coins then I shouldn't of earned it unless it also counts the coins you purchase. In that case, you should just be able to buy the 7,777 and get it, but again, I don't think that's how it works. Like I said, I think you need to hit the 777 jackpot on the highest setting. The one where each bet cost 100 coins.

Total Awards: 10Well I hit 777 14 times, (9 on regular, 5 on victory mode). The cutscene for the fragment happened on a turn that I had hit 3 moogles, which is just earning your coins back. Mind you I did all this before the latest patch was included (which actually popped up about 20 minutes after I got my lucky fragment).

Total Awards: 16I did it before the latest patch too and actually might have earned it on the three Moogles as well. However, that might have something to do with it because when you're in Victory Mode, they have a 50% chance of ending it. So perhaps once you hit the 777 Jackpot and then hit the three Moogles ending Victory Mode, you get it. Unfortunately for me I can't remember when I got the cutscene, but I do know I never earned 7,777 coins.

Well to wrap this all up, I do think it was 7,777 total coins won (not counting losses). The problem was I got the fragment during the 1st of my 5 Super Victory 999's. That makes sense because I was at about ~5,000 coins before that first jackpot.

Last night i played 1000 turns and got 5 999's up. Currently playing now and upto 946 turns and 5 999's so far. Still no trophy!
Also what's these '7's people are talking of? There are Ochus, 9's, Cactaurs, Chocobos, Bombs and Mogs on my machine, No 7's.
Ive won 7000 coins on the Chocobo racing after 1 career and yet to get the 10,000 coin trophy even after 2000 spins.
Now this is a massive point everyone keeps asking all over forums...
- What causes the arrows to flash and make a noise.
- Why do they then proceed to disapeer.
- How the hell is victory mode activated? (everytime it does so on my slots it is without relevence to the last time it happened)
Anyway, not counting the lesser (4x 3x 2x 1x) multiplyers, ive only won around 3000 coins from the slots and lost about 4000.
Just hit victory mode Just that minute and instantly got a bomb lol. And now im back in Victory mode!!! (it's on fire)
Just got the coin fragment and the trophy

I bought 5,000 Casino Coins, made sure they girl said "This machine is on fire" (I think there's 1 better above that but I didn't feel like reloading the level every time).
I wedged the controller between my desk and my sub-woofer so it held L1 down and went to sleep. I woke up with 76,000 Casino Coins, the Fragment, and the Achievement.
I just suggest making a backup save file in the historia crux before you do this, just in case you wake up with 0 coins. I plan to do it for a few nights to grind out more gil for monster materials. Sleep grinding is the best!
Oh also, I had the fragment (slept thru the cut scene), but the Serendipitous Achievement/Trophy didn't trigger until I exited the slot machine.

Guys, I'm totally doing this right now as we speak. But really, there's a much much easier way of keeping the L1 button down, just stick a credit card (or any plastic card) in the cracks of the button. VOILA! But dear me, I'm getting impatient waiting for the friggin thing to win 7777 coins. How do I even know it's done?

Total Awards: 4You'll get a short talking scene about getting the lucky coin from the slot machine or if you L1 the machine and go do something else just keep checking your fragment list every hour or so.

Speak of the devil, 5 minutes later I check on it, and witness triple 7's twice in a minute. Hahaha, I got the fragment. Only took about an hour and a half.

Got it in like 20~30 min. The best chances are with a machine that is in the mood 'it is like a summer hot day' or something like that. I hit victory mode and then super victory mode. Got 2x Jackpot of 5k coins. Started at 9k coins, went down to 7k, then up to like 15.3k coins. Smooth and easy.
So yeah all it counts are your wins, and not your losses.
Also the chance of getting a win is much lower when you use the auto mode
So try to avoid that.
