Since Thanksgiving is almost here, I was wondering what or if there is anything that you would be thankful for or what will be your plans for that day? If you dont celebrate it fine, post if you like but dont hate/troll on others that do celebrate.
As for me, I will be cooking for a group of homeless in my area.

Total Awards: 3We don't celebrate it here in NZ. But it's definitely one holiday I'd like to celebrate if I ever lived in the States. I mean, food, football, what more can you ask for? Well, for me it'd be hockey as well. But still, it's a holiday I'd like to celebrate one day.
Edit: And Happy Thanksgiving everyone!Last edited by Ewok_3000; 11-23-2011 at 07:25 AM.

Happy Thanksgiving indeed, under-rated holiday.
Side-note, who cares if you don't celebrate it? This holiday is of no political or religious significance, no reason to ignore it. Who cares if you celebrated it last month? A day like tomorrow, heck I'm for celebrating it multiple times... My buds up north in Canada? How about we both celebrate it both days?
In North America Thanksgiving is a holiday that represents the celebration of cultural melding and mixing of traditions of different cultures and it represents being thankful for what we have and what has been by having a meal with people who are important to you.
There is no subtext or pretention to it. Whats not to like about it? Even if it is just, for one day, ganking a meal with a friend and having a good time for a bit to be thankful and respectful of the one gift we all got: Life... Its worth celebrating in the US, Canada, Britain, France, Korea, Japan, Chad, or Libya.
Whats more is tomorrow is a good day to include somebody who is, perhaps, not as fortunate as you. Even if its just bringing some turkey sandwiches and potatoes to a homeless shelter on your way to that friends house or stopping by that guy with the sign downtown and giving him 20 bucks to get a good meal and a beer and a handshake to show him some respect, do something for somebody else too.
