Question about Near

Does the Friends list share my location or what

it won't tell me and it just bitches at me to use near to change location settings but doesn't show me any options involving friend lists.

Without a sim in there, I doubt it works. I haven't got my hands on a Vita yet, so it's just a guess based on how iOS devices function.

basically it's google latitude sony edition. except it doesn't tell your exact location and sony didn't rip it off because it has google terms and services thing you have to accept before you use it.

(fun fact apple ripped that off too in the new iOS version.)

it detects anyone around 3 miles away.

also like the fact you can set private zones so no one knows your there.

found out the answer, all it does is show you his stuff he did involving near but no location info unless you actually encountered the vita in-person (and only then it shows where you last met them)


(also i know how to take screenshots in the vita)

So you only get an encounters if someone is REALLY close with their Vita? Or do you just have to communicate with them?

you only get encounters when your within 3 miles of someone with a vita.


i mean since i got it i got around 20 people near me, but thats probably because i was right next to a gamestop.

hay u guys hows it im having real problems with my near it finds me but its no where near where i am witch sucks . how can it find me like 800 kms away from where i really am in nz ?? i have wifi psv using a wireless hot spot at home.. so im in far north and the near and google map shows me way down the country ??? it needs a rest or sum thing ? what do you guys think problem is??

Mine never finds my location, even when i'm in wifi. I have the settings so it allows it, not sure why it won't work.
