I read an article about how they wanted Golden Abyss to be more of an open world affair, the original idea sounded really awesome, but they scrapped it because they didn't think it'd be received well. I think they should experiment with this idea in the sequel (if there is going to be one) have the main story, and then the open world part as like a side story game much like spec ops in MW...
of course, it'd be a big ask so I doubt it'd get done...

Get rid of all the collectibles and I'll be happy. I was turned off from the game just by how many there were. I still haven't pulled myself in to just finish it.
I heard they may do the InFamous for the Vita, which I think would be awesome. I think it would be better for them to do that so they can get more variety of titles on the device, rather than just sequels to spin-offs on it.

Total Awards: 5Nononononononononononoononon NO to a bloody Golden Abyss sequel. Uncharted needs to go away before it becomes the next CoD. (Oh wait, it already has.)
I would enjoy an inFamous title from these guys, but in all honesty I want to see Bend take on their own original IP for the system. If we've learned anything thus far is that no crossovers have been the 'savior' of a game the system needs. Some have been of higher quality than others, but none have warranted my purchase since I got the Vita on launch.
If Bend can make some other form of an original action-adventure game on its own, I will be all ears. If they make some other crossover, the fanboy in me will probably get excited but it'd be more than likely the game will fall flat on its face.

Really, what the hell did I miss? I wasn't aware Uncharted games were released yearly. If anything Assassin's Creed is the franchise most like CoD.
Anyway, personally I'd love to see a Golden Abyss sequel. It was a great game for their first outing and now that they've had some time to get used to the system I think their next game will play a whole lot better.

Total Awards: 5Assassin's Creed is also similar to CoD in that respect, though ACIII brought a lot of changes due to its 3 year development cycle.
Uncharted, however, is similar to CoD in that the games (mainly Uncharted 3) pushed out feel pretty half-assed. A 2 year development cycle and all you can do is pull together an awful and cliché narrative put into a 6 hour singleplayer campaign? And the multiplayer saw only moderate refinements? When a game does not innovate itself, I believe it's caught the CoD-syndrome.

but golden abyss writing isn't good. the female character (i can't even remember her name, what a shame) was especially the problem
the devs even admited it themself

Total Awards: 4Honestly I want something original coming from these guys like a new IP. Wouldn't hurt as well to work on their writing as well.

I wasn't a huge fan of the female lead either (Chase was her name, I believe) but I think part of that is because I was so used to Elena and Drakes relationship. I also think the story started off a little slow too, but once Sully hit the scene the game got much better. I think they can take the feedback they got for Golden Abyss and make a much better game and story now.

Total Awards: 4I hope it's a fully new IP. I really liked Uncharted but i think the Vita needs new IP's to conquer the masses to buy a Vita. The system is just awesome to have and i would advise everyone who's doubting to buy one to just go for it. But the software has to follow. But it's a good thing that Bend is working on a new title even if it's another Uncharted one.

I hated collecting all the "near" bounties. I can't wait to see what Bend can do next!
