    What headset are you using?

I'm looking for a good Bluetooth headset for my Vita.

I have a set of Artic P311's, but they hurt my ears a bit and I cannot lay my head flat against anything because the earcups will be pushed off of my head.

    What are you using?

Sony's PS3 Pulse 7.1 Wireless Elite Headset headset works with the Vita via the stereo jack, so it won't be wireless.

I ordered a set for the vibration feedback you get in shooters to indicate shot, explosion, footstep etc direction and the tight XMB integration and will give them a bash on the Vita.

If the headset needs to be Bluetooth, maybe try these from Plantronics - http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2402308,00.asp

If the Pulse headset proves uncomfortable or I look like an alien, I'll use either my Astro A30's or Astro A*Star earbuds instead.

Tell me more about these. I found a pair for $120, but the title says they are wireless. Why do they need to use the audio jack? Do they have a rumble feature?

The Pulse headsets are indeed wireless but they do not use bluetooth, instead they use a usb dongle that is plugged into a ps3. The only way they will work with a vita (or any other mobile device) is with the audio cable. If I remember correctly you don't own a ps3 so you may want to pass on these.

That's right, they're not Bluetooth, need a cable and jack for use with mobile devices and the Bassimpact feature only works on PS3.

For $120 they're good value if you own both a PS3 and a Vita, but there may be better options if it's just for the Vita.

They are LG Tone HBS-700's. They cost between $30 and $50.
