    1 Unskippable cutscenes
    2 Unpausable cutscenes
    3 Missable areas or items due to passing 'points of no return'
    4 Long loading times, especially after death
    5 Having to watch a cutscene again when restarting a checkpoint after dying (especially if it's like #1)
    6 Excessive collectibles (example: 200 pigeons in GTA, 360 blast shards in infamous etc)
    7 Cheap AI causing #4 and subsequently #5 and #1
    8 Crash-prone games/sequences
    9 Glitches that force you to play all over again (example: Call of Juarez crashed during a save, losing ALL progress - forcing restart of everything)
    10 Games/mini-games based on luck and little to no skill

    I could probably think of more, but those are off the top of my head.

    Piss poor A.I or A.I that can easily get old. -That said for mostly RTS games.
    Short campaigns get me the most.

    Unskippable cutscenes is one for me , but also not a fan of instant
    Respawn.Especially on cod3 veteran mode When make your way down the hill and then
    Back up through the trees(forgot what level was called). Plus instant respawn multiplayer(killzone!!)

    three things wen the game freezes , wen ppl in multiplayr shoot u from behind , and wen die just before a cutscene and it makes u switch it off

    Right now, the only thing I can think of is in Madden NFL 11. They feel the need to replay everything, whether the pass was complete or incomplete. I saw the pass (or rush), so I don't exactly want to see it again...unless it's a completed pass to myself (in Be A Superstar Mode). There's only so much I can see Mark Sanchez screw things up.

    I happen to love collectible trophies and that's one reason I love the JAK and the Ratchet series and I cannot wait for the Jak and Daxter HD Collection and hoping for a Ratchet and Clank HD set by the end of the year would be sweet. My pet peeves are Timed missions especially when you are just about to beat it then it glitches and then the time runs over i.e. Splatterhouse Survival arena challenges for an S rank. I killed the last enemy with 28 seconds under the time but the enemy took too long to dissolve and by the time it did I was 8 seconds over and that's the only thing keeping me from the plat and I agree on the escort missions or missions where you have an A.I. person to help you but all they do is stand around looking dumb. Cut scenes must always have an option to skip regardless of first or second play throughs. Cheap Deaths. Games that are Half assed by developers i.e. COD MW2 7.25 GIGS, Dragon Age II 6.3 GIGS, the Hasbro games just over 1 GIG come on EA put more games then just 5 or 6 or what about Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection Should have had way more games especially for the PS3's blu ray capacity. Being forced to use a controller layout that you don't like or that it's to awkward. All games you should be able to swap the button commands around.

    What I hate the most is when you die and you got to start way way back to get to where you were so you can die again and do it all over til you figure out how to pass the scene, I also hate I mean hate unskippable cut scenes the first time I see the cut scene I can understand not skipping feature but after you watched it you should not be forced to do it all over and over, the game that comes to mind is God of War Chains of Olympus the final Boss fight wow you had to watch that shit over and over

    I almost forgot one. Bosses with no health bar. Sometimes when you're facing a boss for the first time you don't know where to hit them and if they don't have a health bar to show their health going down you don't know if you are hitting them in the right spot. It's not overly a biggy but I like it when there is one.

    Unskippable cutscenes. There is no excuse these days for not giving the player an option to skip a cutscene. Especially in games with trophies that require multiple playthroughs.

    Not nearly as bad as most of the other things posted here, but the trend in anime-styled games where a person's eye color and hair color just HAVE to be the same. The more I see this the more it bothers me.

    Everyone has named most of my pet peeves, but I'd like to throw one out there...

    Difficulty based trophies... I think it's safe to assume that most people play games for the experience of the story, and while we all love Platinums, we're not all Testers or anything. Requiring that we beat the game on some asinine difficulty setting is stupid as hell. Especially when most games on the "hardest" difficulties don't add anything to the experience short of upping the enemies amount of health or sheer number of them. Is there any noticeable difference in Easy vs Veteran in Cod besides the fact that the enemy has better aim or takes more bullets to die.
