Granted I haven't done a search to find YLOD's for slims, your the first I've heard. Did they tell you what happened? And did they fix it or swap it?

For a site that currently has 22,100 members. Almost all being Ps3 owners and I'm sure a majority of them owning a slim. The results will give you an accurate answer to what the OP is asking and posting. So far 1 failure and 31 working fine. Not even counting the people with multiple slims like myself.

Same here, absolutely no issues at all. Seems like the PS3 slim is much more reliable than the original PS3 model's.

My old fat PS3 couldn't read discs anymore so that sucked. It was about to hit 3 years. That's not bad.

I'm hoping that the Slim lasts me until 2014-2015
    Same!
