In their latest Kojima Productions Report episode, the development team talked a bit about the revised Zan-Datsu cutting gameplay in addition to the environment destruction in their upcoming multiplatform title, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. You can check out the latest screens from the debut trailer in the slideshow to the left of this article and the details below.

According to Kojima Productions, you can still control the direction of you cut in Zan-Datsu. There are two ways to approach enemies in the game: you can attack with fast combos or strategic focus on cutting off specific parts. Although the team promise that there are many destructible elements (including reconfirming watermelons), there are some limitations in game’s stages. One example they bought up is that you won’t be able to cut through buildings.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is currently being developed by Platinum Games with help from Kojima Productions. The action game will be released for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 at an unspecified date.
