Andrew Goldfarb[/COLOR]]Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics announced today that Cory Barlog has become the newest member of its development team.

Barlog, formerly of Sony, directed God of War, wrote and directed God of War 2 and was creative director for PSP spinoffs Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta. Since leaving Sony, Barlog has worked as a consultant, designer and writer.

The Upcoming Tomb Raider Reboot

"Crystal has pulled together some of the best teams in the industry to deliver against upcoming projects and future IP," said studio head Darrell Gallagher. "Cory's heritage in building industry-defining action adventure titles, together with our focus on delivering quality character-driven blockbuster entertainment, makes Cory a tremendously exciting addition to the team."

Crystal Dynamics is currently developing its reboot of Tomb Raider, as well as an additional game yet to be announced. Barlog's specific role has not been revealed. For more on Tomb Raider, check out our impressions from E3.
