Depends on the game and the mood.

52" Sony Bravia in home office / adults loungeroom for steering wheel and DualShock-controlled games.
24" Sony Playstation 3D Display or 27" iMac on desktop in home office for shooters for mouse & keyboard support.
55" Sony Bravia in kids loungeroom for Move, music, family and party games.
40" Sony Bravia in bedroom for chilling out or watching PlayTV recordings.

I know what you mean, my friend has a 65" DLP and the games look kinda grainy for some reason, yet movies look amazing. Weird.

I play using a Samsung 50" 720P/1080i plasma T.V. that I bought a few years ago. The picture is clear and the games look great!

Of my 4 Sony displays, it's the one I use and enjoy using the most.

I prefer to game from close proximity at a desk with headphones on and feel somewhat detached when gaming from the couch. Unless it's a driving game in which case, the bigger the display, the better the immersion.

26" Toshiba LCD TV. Can support 1080p but only displays them at 720p I think.

52" Sony XBR10 series. Its actually wireless and the receiver is hooked up to my Slim PS3 via a HDMI cable. However, looking back on how much money I spent on it at the time of purchase. I kinda regret it now.

A 51" Samsung Full HD 3D PLasma. I got it half price online with free shipping. And the best thing about it is that it has a 3D converter, so I can have any movie or any game in 3D, I've tried it on a few different things and its a pretty decent converter
