Did you know that any history is valuable? Kinda like trying to buy a vintage car in today's market but the only problem is that the vintage car you want/need, they dont make anymore so you have to buy it off someone. Just like certain platinum's from 2009 that are awesome to have but cant get them now. It is all nothing but a collection.
Yeah a collection the earner can reminisce about and explain the difficulty and frustration they endured to accumulate.

You can buy collectibles but not someone else's history and pass it off as your own, because deep down it has no relevance to you.
This is not about that one rare platinum but the whole account.

At some point when gaming no longer becomes AS relevant to me, I wouldn't have any issues selling my psn. Eventually life kills the trophy hunter in us all.

    "The day... that gaming died.
bye bye trophy hunter, you were denied
had to spend my money on more important stuff, I sighed
took my money to the store but the children had to be supplied,
them good ole boys were gaming until they were fried,
playing the newest games til' they died
t'was the day my psn died..."

No way! You think that NGS2, Vanquish, Killzone 2 and Mirror's Edge with 100% are plats that come easily? I am so proud of those plats and the thought of trying to earn them on a new profile again would be too much to handle.

Depends on what they offer me because all the plats I have can easily be gotten again since I don't do any hard plats or time consuming ones. With all the purchases, avatars, themes, and trophies I have they would need to offer me atleast $3000-5000 USD.

I don't see why anyone would want to buy mine but if I platted more games, enough to make it valuable to someone and needed the money, then yeah I'd sell it. It really isn't that strange for people to buy stuff like PSN accounts with a wealth of history. I've known people who've bought accounts off players of WoW just for high level characters.

Well there have been some people on this site that have bought multiple plats and used game saves to unlock all the trophies at once so I imagine buying a full account would be more efficient and cheaper in the long run.

As for me, I would sell it or give it away if I felt I was no longer going to be using it. I gave away my NavyFIELD account to my clan a few years ago which I had invested thousands of dollars into over my 4-5 years playing it. In fact, I had some of the best stats you could get on my stuff and they were quite costly to make that way. Have I ever thought about going back, absolutely. Have I ever returned though, nope.

Its all about the situation. If I was hard up for money, I'd sell off whatever I needed to at the time. You can't really take the moral high ground and say you'd never do anything like that unless you were placed in the situation.

Negative, I have a few that can't be achieved anymore and a few that where ridiculously hard.

Plus, I really don't need money...... But if I were, for example, promised 72 virgins............... ......... Yes

Very good point. Although i cannot help thinking i would rather sell most other things first before my PSN profile.

let's get real people....if anyone of us here was offered a huge amount of money we would take it. we would be totally stupid if we didn't. however....on the real side no one is going to offer a huge amount of money and we all would mostly turn down a small offer. on a side note....anyone willing to actually buy another persons acct is a moron

Yes I know people do that, and I know people that do that (not irl). But a full PSN account? I can't think of a person that would buy a psn account, but to pay someone to earn trophies on an account seems more reasonable to me.
