In theory if the controller has more input than normal from a game (continue vibration using sixasis etc.)and from user, would be possible, but I really do not know. have you tried to change the controller?

It is possible if you keep the vibration on.

I really really hate vibration, it's always switched off So that's why my controllers probably last a long time

I still have my first controller, for almost a year. But sometimes I'm stupid and drop it :S

Gaming I can put out about 8 hours before it's dead, regardless of the game. But just sitting there "I don't have the auto turn off on the controller" it stays on for 24 hours +
Theoretically speaking I would say that the more you put into it then the faster it does drain the battery.

^ all very well, but keeping it in constant charge actually drains the battery in the long run. I know you said if you're not using it, then it's charging, but doing it like this means that the time you can actually use it for is less and less each time. Same goes for anything battery powered that can be charged from the mains, laptops etc especially...

Correct. Which I have to explain to people daily and they still don't understand it.

Glad someone said it. I have had cell phones that only last for 6 hours because of this. Lesson learned. Another situation is my first ipod. Only lasts 10 hours when it used to last weeks (this is minimal use, i dont stay on it for 10 hours straight). That and it would freeze
