Sometimes when I play Borderlands after BF3, because you throw a grenade at R1 and I sometimes almost kill myself with that when I'm trying to shoot someone

All the time! That's why I try to play one game at a time, because it takes me some time and conscious effort to get the controls right. Of course having a few drinks doesn't often help with one's coordination

I think many gets confused with mixing up on shooters.

"Was it R1, R2, R3, L1, L2 or L3 that sprinted?. Oh, damnit, I just threw a grenade. Now I'm crouching... Now I'm melee killing. Now I'm shooting. Now I'm looking at the map. Now I'm reloading. There we go. Wait, which one crouched again?"

The most recent bit of confusion that I had was when I played COD MW3 after Uncharted 3, I constantly blew myself up by pressing the R2 button while in cover forgetting that the R2 wasn't the reload action in the game

I don't think I've ever thought I was playing a different game, but I've definitely tried to do stuff that's from a completely different game.

Like I used to have a habit of holding the rewind time button from Prince of Persia whenever I made an error in any other game

Not anymore. I've made it a habit to check what the buttons do as soon as I start the game that way I don't make mistakes later on.

I only had that with some Rpg's. Normally you proceed the conversation when you push the X button (in almost all games for that matter), but in a FF game it's mostly the O button.

That has happened to me before, before I platinumed Skyrim, I was playing it lots and took a break to play some MW3 online. My friend kept yelling at me for running up to and looking down at the bodies from my victims as I tried to search them for gold

During the ps2 years of me playing both FIFA and PES I'd get confused as the shooting and cross buttons are inverted between the two games, so u'd be playing the other one after a period of time, have a chance to score and press what you think was shoot and end up hitting it the wrong way into the crowd.

When I was playing Resistance 2 I got use to the controls so when I started playing Battlefield 3 again and tried to run by pressing R2, I would always end up throwing a grenade which was the opposite of what I wanted to do lol.

More like do you get confused w/ controls for games etc. & yes, if I am playing one game just as much as the other but switch back & fourth. Sometimes I will forget & press the wrong button as if I was thinking of the other game.

I do a little bit at times. When I would play Yakuza 3 or 4 and then I turn around to play a baseball game. My timing really gets thrown off.

Doesn't happen a lot but if it does it is mostly FPS games. Most recently while playing Deus Ex I kept pressing to interat with something when I needed to press .

seriously, me too.... I think CoD controls are the best, I don't know why a game would make them any different unless they are like patented or something, it really pisses me off
