    The difference is the "Essential Collection" is a hand-picked collection of PS3 exclusives.
    Greatest Hits / Platinum games can be cross-platform.

    What the hell is the difference between these 'essential's and the 'platinum' series they already have? Also, where is Uncharted series in that little collection, and LBP and all the other must have games.. what a brilliant idea sony :s

    tbh it sounds like "platinum games" in the uk, which are just re-released games which sold well at a cheaper price
