I got that, but there's obviously a difference gameplay-wise between RDR and Borderlands/Deus Ex.

I try to research titles often, so when i go into the store, i know if its worth getting (trophy wise). I have bought games with no trophies before. Aggravating to say the least.

I would say Red Dead Redemption fits both those criteria.

Borderlands is awesomely fun and outrageously funny, with a great deal of customization options and four different playable characters. Other fun ones include Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. They are also rather easy to get into, although the options to customize might be awkward for you in the beginning if you don't read the booklet.

i own that title. It is a good recommendation, although i think agarest wars is a better suggestion

It has an auto fight feature, so you can let the Ai fight, and its filled with some anime pictures. Some suggestive themed pictures

    you have been warned

I would say Skyrim...you can go at your own pace and learn mechanics. AND you will have the most fun building your character up....

The most fun I've had in the RPG type element on the PS3 is Red Dead, just look for those 2-3x XP weekends if you wanna plat it because it'll save time.

Also, find a way to play Earthbound or Chrono Trigger for the SNES. Off topic? Yes. But the best RPG's ever. Just had to throw it out there.

Ni no kuni, Skyrim, latest bioshock, Borderlands 2 and FF13. These are great RPG's and I recommend to atleast try them.

I would also recommend Fallout, New Vegas, or any of the Mass Effect games. I don't think of myself as an avid RPG player, but I have played my share of them. I think RPG's that are also shooters or action games are easier for non-RPG players to get into, because there's still a feel of familiarity with the weapons.
