I'm not too sure about renting Japanese games. But, I imported Another Century's Episode R (Which btw is my very 1st import ), and I only paid $23 for it on ebay.

While Amazon is cheaper for one of the titles, the other doesn't even show up. If anyone is wondering which titles I'm looking for they are Time Leap (Amazon has) and Days in the Sanctuary. Both are supposed to be incredibly easy platinums.

    From ebay:

Days in the Sanctuary $89 with "Buy it Now" outside of that, $120

Time Leap $81 with $4 shipping. Outside of that: $140

    From Amazon:

Time Leap $89 with $4 shipping

Don't know man, it's looking grim Try Play-Asia? EDIT: they only have the PSP version of Days in the Sanctuary.

    From Play-Asia:

    Time Leap $71 shipping unknown.

Most sites that offer Japanese games don't let people rent them but as Kidson said, "Play-Asia" is a good site or you can try "Rakuten".com which is a Japanese own site with stores all over the world and the site can be seen in any language almost.

Just now getting around to checking out the suggestions made here. Ecrater has time leap and it's the cheapest I've found it. On one hand it's no more (almost) expensive than a lot of new games these days. On the other hand if the platinum is really as easy as they say it is it isn't really worth more than a few bucks (IMO). I'm stuck on the fence. I still have re6 hitmand and Pokemon black 2 to pay for. That and a whole host of other things to worry about. I don't know what I'll do.

Thanks to Thunder for the platbar!!!

Exactly. None of my friends (virtual or otherwise) have the game. Or else I would just ask one of them if I could borrow them.

But 80 bucks for a plat that can be gotten in a day or two? Then what?

That's why I don't want to buy them. It would be one thing if the games had some sort of replay value but they don't. It would be a waste of 100+ bucks. There's only one possible solution... I gotta move to Japan.

The site Jay posted Rakutan.com had Days in the sanctuary for 65? that's significantly cheaper than any other site. They also had Clannad which I've wanted to pick up for some time now, not because it's easy, but because I enjoyed the anime

Hope you find a suitable vendor, Bob.

It's to bad you don't know anyone here on PS3T who you could mail postage and stuff to (who would trust you and you them).
If you could find someone like that here then problem solved. Hell I'd do it if I had them; cause if you didn't hold your end of the bargain I could just tell others not to trust you.
Sorry I can't help but when I read this I thought it would be nice if people did what I suggested on the topic. (Good Luck)

I wish there was some way that somebody would let me borrow a game. I'd totally be able to pay shipping and postage. But TSS seems to be the Only one with the games and he doesn't know me. How does a person go about building report like that? I mean I'm a trustworthy guy and all but how does someone on here even get to that level of being able to ask another user to borrow a game? I know it would be case by case but I figured I'd ask.

Thanks to Thunder for the platbar!!!

That's a tough one. My guess would be to make yourself available to people who need help with other things.(boosting for instance)
Like anything else you earn trust through hard work. Good luck
