Keiji Inafune's Yaiba Is a Ninja Gaiden Game, Has Team Ninja Behind It

Keiji Inafune, the man who oversaw the Dead Rising franchise, recently leaked word about his next game, Yaiba.
But we didn't know who he was working with, or what team was behind him. Now we know, and it's a fairly big surprise.
Yaiba, it turns out, is a Ninja Gaiden game and also the name of the protagonist. He's chasing after Ryu Hayabusa for chopping his arm off, and apparently there are quite a few zombies between him and the Ninja Gaiden franchise's protagonist.
Hence, Yaiba living up to his name, which means "blade". Here's a trailer:

The game is being developed by Team Ninja and Spark, a Californian developer which is currently working on Lost Planet 3. No release date was announced, but the game will be heading to consoles.

So, let me understand: This is about someone who Ryu killed, and was brought back to life so he can have his revenge on Ryu? You won't be able to play as Ryu, but play as the person who's out for Ryu's blood? Not going to judge this until I see more trailers about this, and see some gameplay, and hear them explain the story behind this one.
