Back tracking to places from the first game? I love that.

Like when Dead Space 2 did it, it was awesome.

Yeah, that's actually the coolest thing ever. Especially when old areas have a different spin to them, like, they are clearly the same, but they have changed since the last time you were there. Like, Jak 3 did that a lot which was really cool.

Yeah, it's really cool to see the levels again, and if they improved on it.

Yeah, I like it too. My most recent experience is in Borderlands 2, when you make it back to Fyrestone, and see how different it is after the 5 years between the two games

Especially in games like Chrono Cross. You would just see hints of Chrono Trigger in the game and every time you discovered something it was really neat.

My first experience doing this, is in suikoden II, when you hav the chance to recuirt the main character from the first game by going into his kingdom...it's awesome not only do you get to see the environment but a few of the original characters as well...an it's pretty funny when your main character and the main character from the first game talk, just dots back and forth.

Yes, unless it's done because the devs got lazy, like some areas of FFXIII-2 which I thought were completely unnecessary (The Vile Peaks and other places).

This. Dead Space 2, and Borderlands 2 are pretty good examples. Whereas with Mario, level 1-1 is just forced into everything.

Yeah totally agree , the return to the Ishimura was probably one of the best settings in DS2

Yes, I love to have the chance to do it, just to see how/if the graphics/technology improved, and just makes me happy.
