    Ps3 Controller Malfunction HELP

    Hello everyone!

I have a slight problem with my ps3 controller. He doesn't work without being connected by USB, but it says that it is full battery. whenever i unplug the usb he disconnects, and when I press the PS button the lights just blink for a split second, if i spam it they will eventually turn on a blink twice but it never connects to the ps3. i've tried resetting and turning the ps3 on with the controller connected by USB and nothing worked.
What makes me mad is that the controller was bought two weeks ago.

    can someone help me please?

Is it an official Sony controller? Or one of those imported not licensed ones?

You got it off of Ebay? You may have been scammed.

Sometimes 'legit' ebay sales are actually fake. You probably received a controller which half-worked. You should buy the official controller from a Sony store.

If the battery fails, then i guess a new controller is the solution. I know the wireless function is neat but if you can live having it wired then that's fine if not then a trip to the store is necessary.

Bro, you just learnt a valuable lesson here with buying on auction sites. I like how on Japan yahoo auction that the seller has to mention everything about fake products. Next time just spend that extra cash on Amazon or at your local game shop. If it's to good to true, then it must not be worth it.

This right here. I too learnt a valuable lesson. I bought what I was led to believe an official pad off of ebay for 20 quid. I had numerous problems with it. The main problem was shit life in the battery. I had to charge it up every 2 days after about a month of owning it. I eventually get fed up with the piece of crap and spent 35 quid on a proper pad from a reputable place and I haven't had a problem with it since owning it for about 6 months ish now.

Sig and avy by the awesomely talented stupot00 and GDT bar by the excellent djunglist

Exactly this. So, you can connect the ps3 using USB, but it doesn't connect by Bluetooth? Ive had this problem and resetting the controller by poking a hole with a pin eventually worked. It looks like this:

Also, I'd suggest not buying from eBay unless you can afford to take a big risk with the quality of the product. A lot of products on there are duds.

I've had my PS3 for over 4 years and never noticed that.
