Got this idea from a thread I just read , would you continue to go for your platinum trophies if the games developers decided to not award the platinum until you had completed all the DLC as well , this would obviously benefit the game developer but not us , what do you guys think ?
Its a HELL NO from me but I think this might actually happen sooner or later , it makes sense from there point of view .

Nope, not only because I have to pay extra, but also because DLC trophies are usually related to online, and I hate online trophies.

That'd probably be the day i stop trophy hunting because i'm not going to be bothered waiting for dlc when there are new games to play. imagine if they implemented this and another skyrim came about...

In contrast to the above comments, I not only go for the plat. but I also need to see the 100%. If that means getting the DLCs, so be it.
I mean I will make sure the game is worth the effort before the initial purchase and the DLC just adds to the experience. I couldn't see devs. making a trophy for purchasing a certain custome DLC or something, but would be more for actual gameplay.

Total Awards: 4Probably not, because with DLC, games have 70+ trophies and that is too much.

Total Awards: 9Personally, I don't buy any games where I don't intend to get the platinum. It's not a "trophy hunting" issue, but simply a reflection of what makes me tick -- I'm an unyielding perfectionist who tries to wring every last drop of value out of my purchases, and I view the platinum trophy as an expression towards that end.
If the definition of a platinum changed so that it included all DLC, it would make me hesitate before I bought games and far less likely to buy anything "Day One". I doubt I'm the only one in that particular boat.
On the other hand, such a change might oblige developers to release details (and trophy lists) of their planned DLC ahead of time for just those reasons. After all, if enough people stopped purchasing games until they saw what the DLC entailed, I believe that would take a substantial chunk out of their revenues (and those of the middle-man).

Total Awards: 9Definitely not. A platinum should be limited to the game itself, just like it is now. Forcing you to get the dlc to plat the game is just wrong.

Total Awards: 10I would. I sometimes simply go for specific trophies in a game when I know I won't get the platinum.

I guess I would. I usually go for the 100% anyway.

I go for 100% anyway so it wouldn't bother me that much if I had to buy DLC in order to get the plat.

Total Awards: 27If the DLC was free I wouldn't mind. Sort of like The Walking Dead, each month a new pack is released and eventually you earn the plat. Payed DLC trophies, on the other hand, would equate to 'buying' plats, and I don't think that's right. Sony will never do that anyway.

dlc for platinum wouldnt work as the content/trophies would have to be known before the release thus making the dlc not really dlc, just content thats not paid for yet (and would piss people ((inc me)) off that the companies are not putting it in the original game package, like locked on disk content) walking dead is the only example and that works because the game is dlc in itself.
short answer no lol
