    Download Error?

    Ok, I was downloading Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition thanks to PS+, only to find out that there's a 'download error' when it reached 49%.

    Now I don't want to download 4 GB all over again and see the same thing.

    Anyone with any help?

    That happens to me when I have a shitty connection. If I reset my router, modem and PS3 and re-download it is usually fine.

    Sometimes (rarely) it will pickup where it left off, but in most cases you have to redownload. You may what to redownload the whole thing away as there may be corrupted or errors in what you already downloaded because of the error and you don't want to have to remove it all and redownload once you've gotten the whole things done once.

    It would be best to download w/ an ethernet cable, as that offers the best connection stability. You can receive DNS errors or similar if you connect via wireless and your signal is weak, thus stopping the download.

    But my internet wasn't weak, I downloaded 1GB in less than 40 minutes. Which is VERY fast compared to usual.

    Every single download I have tried to do through the new playstation store has resulted in a system crash / reboot / download error. Its a total failure on sonys part.




    And a small video I was going to post on the us.playstation site.

    -_- I download 1 mb in 8-10 seconds

    I should be getting fibre optics in 3/4 years though, which will basically open up the ability to download 1 gb in less than 15 mins depending on the server

    This is stupid, I downloaded 7 GB in total and it's of no use! WTF Sony!

    I got another download error at exactly the same point.
