I understand both points of view, the negative and positive.

Maybe the PS4 will be easier than the 720. Doubt it though.

    did i jump into 2009

    also sony logic

"We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that (developers) want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so then the question is, what do you do for the rest of the nine-and-a-half years?" explained Hirai.
"fuck developers, lets make hard to use platforms"

and thats why sony is losing money for the 7th year in a row.

    LMFAO! Nice one dude.

Hopefully the PS4 makes it easier for them, but I doubt it.

I understand the idea of wanting to push the developers to explore the potential of the system, but sometimes pushing people means pushing them away. Capitolism will always win out in this type of situation, especially in a true free market, and people are going to go where the quicker easier money is.

This might be why some developers give DLC to XBOX first and make PS3 wait longer. The devs probably need more time to work out the kinks, and in their disgruntlement probably say something like "Fine, Sony wants to be dicks to the devs, we can be dicks too; you'll get your damn DLC when its ready"

The Fallout games were famous for this, and we all know Fallout tends to crop up the most bugs even on its native platform, so of course they'd need an extra month to fix the bugs in the PS3 port.

On the other hand, there's Sony exclusives devs like the Uncharted team that would tell you it's just a skill to learn like anything else, and if you're good at it, you can pull off some pretty amazing shit on the PS3 platform.

bethesda has a contract regarding fallout/Elders scroll games with microsoft

PC/PS3 has to wait a month to get the dlc, 360 Users get it first. sucks for the rest of us but as i said earlier, it's one of the perks of having xbox live (you get the biggest RPG DLC first, along with the Biggest FPS series call of duty DLC first.)

Besides, if you buy Elder scrolls/fallout on anything other than a PC, your doing it wrong. The Modding community can fix any gameplay issues within days of it's release they are so batshit insane about it.

Devs = Complaining the PS3 is too hard to program
Normal people = Hacking into the consoles security and writing their own tools, apps, and games not complaining one bit.

I think we have hired the wrong people...

Maybe the normal people know a lot more than the developers about the CELL architecture.

    QFT.

The fact that the folks at Bethesda and Co. still can't get their DLC onto the ps3 system is just pathetic. Just a prime example, though there are many other cases I could have chosen with other devs.

I am guessing that they mean the harder a developer works on this the more magic they unlock , and the reason for this is to keep the flow of titles gradually getting better and better , rather than the launch title being the best the machine can offer ?
Would like to thank Google and snipping tool for my amazing sig + avatar
