Hm, "Bandiera"? I had to look up what this means. Can anyone tell me if it might reference something other than the Italian brothers Bandiera? Perhaps it has a meaning in another (non-English) language?

    Clipped this exerpt from wikipedia.

The two brothers were born in Venice and were sons of Baron Francesco Bandiera, an admiral in the Austro-Hungarian Navy, and were themselves members of that service. At an early age they were won over to the ideas of Italian unification, and corresponded with Giuseppe Mazzini and other members of the Giovine Italia, a revolutionary secret society.
During the year 1843 the air was full of different conspiracies and various other ill-starred attempts at nationalist uprisings were made. The Bandiera brothers spread propaganda among the officers and enlisted men of the Austrian navy, nearly all Italians, and planned to seize a warship to bombard the city of Messina. Having been betrayed by informants they fled to Corfu early in 1844.

It looks like it's going to be a Star Ocean game, but I would much prefer a Kingdom Hearts reveal.

    It's a...browser game?

Sorry, if you were expecting Star Ocean anything. The Square Enix teaser site like Siliconera predicted is for Star Galaxy, a massively multiplayer simulation game set in outer space. Up to 2,000 people can fight on one gigantic battlefield. Players act as a planet’s commander in chief by managing resources, infrastructure, and power sources. You can develop your base by adding buildings and secure resources by taking over other planets. A navigator character will help during the simulation parts and battles use cards that represent units. Cards can level up and gain new skills.

Star Galaxy has four factions to choose from:
The Boldor Imperial Army led by Roy Bismark. He’s an excellent tactician known for being cold hearted.
The Holy Knights of Selshion led by Dia Vite. This devout faction is lead by their faith in God.
The Universe Trading Union led by Tagel. Tagel says the royal family has a monopoly on resources and wants to fight to split them.
Vivian from the Republic is a feared commander who crushes his enemies and is not fighting to bring peace to the galaxy.

Star Galaxy is a browser game handled by Yahoo! Japan and will start a closed beta test on December 20.

They aren't. Of all the major third party publishers, Square Enix is among the best financially because they do smart business decisions like investing in low risk ventures with major capital return like... browser games. They've done quite well on the iOS with a few games, and even tried their hand at some Facebook games, before cutting their ties and starting back over.

Fans may bitch to the high heavens about Square Enix and their lack of releasing major titles with brand recognition, but at the same time, the company has turn the corner by making some of the best business decisions of all the third party publishers out there.
