Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes on Next Gen?

An interesting bit from another interview with Kojima that was conducted when he was in Dubai, from DvLZGame.

Kojima was asked if Ground Zeroes will be released for next gen systems. He answered that this was ‘a secret he could not talk about’.

The interviewer continued by saying he expected Microsoft and Sony to announce their new consoles this E3 or sooner, and he expects to see more of Ground Zeroes then, since he believes it will be for those systems. Kojima replied by saying: “We will see about this one day… Maybe sooner than you think.”

Of course Kojima is deliberately being vague here, so how to interpret his comments is hard to say. But it does seem to at least imply the game is going to be available on the next generation systems. At the vey least Kojima is working on next gen consoles with the FOX Engine. All we can do now is wait.

Could GZ be one of the first games announced for PS4 or is it coming to PS3? What do you think?

Wasn't it confirmed that it is coming out on PS3? MGS5 will be a PS4 title.

With PS4 coming sooner than expected who knows? All we have from GZ is a trailer. I think the game will be released next year and by then PS4 will probably be out...

Also if it was a confirmed PS3 title why would he say that?

So they'll release it as the HD version for the PS3 and then when PS4 comes out they'll port it as an HHD ("higher" high definition) for PS4? Clever.

It will most likely appear on both PS3 and PS4 if PS4 is out early in 2014

The game looks and sounds too ambitious to work on a PS3 or a 360, so it was suspected from the beginning that it might not see the light of day until the new consoles hit the market. I for one, wouldn't doubt it and wouldn't really be bothered for it. At least there'd be a game worth buying soon after release.
