GTA Vice City Coming to PSN Next Week

Ever since the releases of San Andreas for PSN and Vice City for iOS and Android, we've received more than a few requests from the community wondering when they'd be able to touch down at Escobar International and return to the neon-lit streets and sun-splashed shores of Ocean Beach on their PS3s. Today, we can confirm that it won't be long now...

The original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will arrive for download on PlayStation Network next week as part of their PS2 Classics collection - on Tuesday, January 29th in North America and Wednesday January 30th in Europe, for $9.99 / €9.99 / £7.99.

Seems like they would be better off making an HD collection. I already own both on disc and thats the only way I would ever rebuy them again.

I wonder what other Rockstar classics they're going to release? Anyone got any guesses?

anyway, my first purchase is going to have to be a TB hard drive for my PS3...my hard drives crapping out throwing up trophy registration errors, and it's also full up at the moment!

There's Bully, Max Payne 1 and 2, State Of Emergency, Red Dead Revolver and the Midnight Club's so it could be any or all of them that get released which I hope get HD makeovers but seeing as the didn't do it with GTA, I doubt they do it with the others.

I don't know why they bother releasing them as PS2 Classic. If they release them in HD and with trophies they would surely make much more money.

Dumb move. They should have released it as an HD collection with trophies to make money. Not going to bother downloading it. I'll just plug my PS2 instead to play it.

Vice City isn't bad either but GTA SA is better than all GTA games so far.

Rockstar is sort of being retarded with all these PS2 Classics they're releasing. Yeah sure, there's a market for them, yet put in a little effort and make it HD with trophies, and you not only get that same market, yet all the people that would rebuy it for the graphic fidelity and trophy support.

Just seems pointless to buy a game with no new features for $10, when actual HD re-released PS2 games with new features are being released around the same price point. And if no new features, it would be nice if Sony worked on making PS2 games work on the Vita, so at least it's a console -> portable experience (as opposed to just a PS2 console -> PS3 console experience).

And yes, I love beating the shit out of dead horses.

I was waiting for this. The only GTA I never finished. I'll definitely buy it, but I won't get around to it for a while (I bought Bully last Saturday).
