If its a similar size to that of the dualshock 3 it should be ok the thumb sticks look a bit crappy compared to the current ones though and is it me or does the dpad seem higher up?

It is a prototype (if real) though.

I do not like the look of it in that picture. It's not as sleek looking and is that a move glow thing on the top of the trackpad? As mentioned before controllers are already $54.99 per now add the trackpad and move functionality (possibly) this could get ridiculous. All these questions will be answered soon but i hope that is not the final shape.......

I must have counted at least 6 posts all whinging about the aesthetics of the controller. Its a gorram prototype - by definition its unfinished.

The light panel at the top suggests that the new controller will use similar technology to the Move, which could mean that the new Playstation console will ship with a camera and Move-esque features as standard. Here's hoping that the technology has a bit more longevity than six-axis (seriously, does any game still use that?).

It's also good to see that they've added some bulk to the controller and inverted the thumbsticks. Fingers crossed for convex triggers.

When the final controller is released, I wonder what's the price going to be for a replacement. All those game ragers that like to throw their controllers might think twice if the price is over $70.

Looks. Like. Crap. I don't know why they feel the need to integrate motion controls into the controller. I mean look at how poorly the Move is doing.

Just looks wrong. I pray to The Flying Spaghetti Monster that this isn't real.

I hope this doesn't mean that a PSEyE or other sensor has to always be plugged in as part of the OS. For some garbage games...sure, yet Move is a joke and should not be forced like this.

I don't like touch technology in general. The touch or "tracking pad" or what ever you call it is gonna be a joke. I hope this design isn't mandatory. I'll spend the money to buy a normal controller made by someone else. I don't care. I don't want touch.

Also boo on the sticks. One thing I like better about PS3's controller over the 360's is the round-topped sticks. :/

I don't mind the controller, myself, but it looks as if it'll take awhile to get used too.

I don't see all the fuss. Everything that looks bad (D-pad, bulkiness, lack of wireless) is the sort of thing that gets sorted out before producing the final product. As a prototype, this looks fantastic. A touch pad, rather than a screen, would be a nice middle ground between same-old and gimmick.

Only thing that has me worried even slightly is the lack of rounded sticks. I do hope they keep that.

Then again, I'd be happy with anything that isn't MS's PlaySkool controller.
