AC 4 out Oct 29th... also Next Gen

Ubisoft's official Asssassin's Creed site reveals a launch date for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag by use of some technical wizardry that involves replacing a letter in the URL.

As DarkZero discovered, heading to the official AC4 site for the world premiere trailer, which will launch in four days, and then simply adding a "v" to the end of the url reveals the above image.

The Ubisoft site notes an October 29 release date for AC4 and states it's "also coming to next-gen consoles." Sony announced the PlayStation 4 last week, Microsoft is expected to announce the next Xbox within a few months.

To be honest last one I played was Brotherhood and that got boring after a while.
Not really liking this "a game a year" thing.
I'd rather they took 3 years to make one game and make it AMAZING.

I've loved the AC series since it began but unless they smooth out alot of what was wrong with 3 i'll probably wait to get this one, if i ever get it at all.

Exactly what I always say. I love Uncharted, Dead Space and LBP, but if they started cranking them out yearly it would suck. I rather wait 2 years and get a GOOD game...

Pathetic.... also expect another COD sometime around that time. (prediction). Every single year (for the PS360) generation has been the same.

I'll be picking it up, most likely for the PS4. I don't really mind the fact AC is becoming a yearly recurrence, I didn't play Brotherhood or Revelations, and I'll more than likely be overlooking AC III as well but AC IV has piqued my interest.

I might not even get to AC III by the time this one comes out.

I'm hoping the only reason they are releasing this so soon is so it can be one of the first games on the new-gen consoles, and not just making it a yearly game that has barely any thought put into it.

That was also my first thought on this. Plus it would probably help with PS4 sales if they decided to bundle it together with a launch PS4. I preordered this not too long ago (mainly for the poster/map :p ) but for the PS3 until I know a solid price point for the PS4. Gamestop (my local one) said 700$ but it's anyone's guess right now.
