    New Wolfenstien won't have multiplayer...

Wolfenstein: The New Order will not include multiplayer, Bethesda and developer MachineGames told Gamespot. The New Order stuck its neck out (and its right arm) yesterday with an announcement trailer featuring series protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz in an alternate 1960s universe where the Nazis won World War II.

Previous Wolfenstein games to include multiplayer include Return to Castle Wolfenstein, released in 2001, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, out in 2003, and the 2009 Wolfenstein for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. With a legacy as storied as Wolfenstein's, a few series fans may be dismayed to hear New Order won't include multiplayer.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is due out on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and next-gen consoles in Q4 2013.

I guess they learned their lesson after the horrible mp on the previous wolfenstein. I'm happy that they decided to exclude mp, maybe their increased efforts into the sp will make it a GOTY title.

I didn't play the last one so I don't know how MP was, but I think online fits this kind of game.

This is awesome news. Been wondering if a new Wolfenstein was ever coming.

I, too, am happy about this... Wolfenstein's MP for the PS3 was garbage, IMO.

A game that should have multiplayer in decides not to whilst games in no need of it shoehorn it in? The world ( of videogames ) has gone mad.

RTCW was one of my favourite PC games for SP and MP, skipped all else since, would be interested to see how this un turns out.

I've never played a Wolfenstein game myself, but it's nice to see that not every developer out there feels the need to include MP in their games. Some games are just better off without it.

Any game without MP is awesome . All attention going to the game, rather than peoples attention and resources going to a carbon copy MP experience .

Just because there is no MP doesn't mean the single player will be any good. That's like saying that the newest Star Trek game was going to be good because it was in development for over 3 years .... how'd that one turn out?
