    PS3 internet issue

My PS3 will randomly disconnect from the PSN server and disable the internet entirely. of course it will say it's my problem but I know it's not because I can the internet on my phone just fine during this. So if I want to use the internet after the PS3 does it's little shenanigans I have to unplug and replug my router, then the PS3 actually works. Anyone have this problem? I am thinking of resetting my router settings but I don't think the PS3 is worth the effort.

It's your router, not the PS3.

Assign the PS3 a static IP. Add the PS3's IP to the router's DMZ. Done.

Hmmm I been having this problem for the last couple days, however when it signs me out I immediately open the xmb and sign back in. I am on my pc next to the PS3 console so it is odd I am getting connection without and not there other. I looked for a new system update and nothing.

If you can try to setup a secure Wi-Fi slot then that might help as well. There could be someone else using your connection as well.

Could be an IP addressing issue on the router, ie, it's trying to assign the same IP to multiple devices on the local network. Again...assign the PS3 a static IP in the router, add to DMZ and that *should* fix the problem.
