I can't believe no one has even mentioned The Walking Dead: Survival Instincts. What a diamond in a pile of rubbish it is. Truly captivating story with immense variety and high-end graphics.

After spending 90+ hours on GTA V/Online so far i can say it's so close to being GOTY for me but the Online problems reappearing again has dampened my love for it, frustrating for something so immensely fun and wonderful to have so many problems.

As it stands, The Last Of Us is the frontrunner for me. The feel of the game alone propels it into the realms of greatness but when you add the story, the characters, the setting, the music and detail then it becomes something special.

I still think that Batman will win the game of year, Battlefield 4 has a chance.

GTA 5 will probably take GOTY.... but for me TLOU was by far a one off... I loved this game so much i think i played thru it 4 or 5 times back to back and even enjoyed the multiplayer which for me is odd. The Last of Us 10/10 *****

My vote goes to Batman: Arkham Origins but I did not play Bioshock infinite or The Last of Us but I saw my wife play a ton of them both and they still aren't as fun as Batman. I had originally thought Beyond was going to get it but that was kind of a letdown for me, as was GoW. Also, GTA5 screwed me out of my 100% because of an update so it is automatically disqualified.

    My choices would be:

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

    Beyond: Two Souls

hopefully MGR: Revengance at least gets a mention...

I'm assuming we're talking about the VGAs here. If so, GTA will win it easily.

In my opinion though, it should be Ni No Kuni or The Last Of Us.

PERSONAL fav game of this year is totally
    Tomb Raider>Tlou>GTA>DmC>Bioshock Infinite

I am enjoying Tomb Raider wholeheartedly, didn't expect it to be that good.
The major turn off point is definitely the horrible multiplayer mode ...sad ~

then again in general i think TLOU probably win 2013 GOTY
    10/10 story + multiplayer

Personally I think it has got to be GTA.

Other names I've heard dropped were Bioshock Infinite earlier in the year and The Last of Us.

Personally I don't get what all the fuss was about with TLOU, but I stopped playing it after the 1st 5 hours when the story wasn't at all picking up.

Didn't play Bioshock Infinite but it's a FPS.. no matter how good it is, just don't see it matching GTA V.

Surprised to hear people suggest Ni no Kuni (lol) and Batman Arkham Origins. One's a jrpg with a poorly written storyline and underused concept, and the other's a Batman rehash met with lackluster reviews.

    ---

If it wasn't for the fact that GTA V's multiplayer was broken on release I'd say it would have won hands down. Bad luck for them.

Still, we had some amazing games this year. Anyone that hasn't played Tomb Raider, Rayman Legends, Farcry 3: Blood Dragon and Grid 2, check them out

The singleplayer was great, but after completing all missions, there's really no reason to continue playing it, unless you're a completionist who wants every collectible (which there are way too many of).
