Total Awards: 7While 2013 has been a great year with the likes of The Last of Us, GTA V, and AC4, 2011 takes cake for me. That juggernaut of a year had so many stellar games like Uncharted 3, Dark Souls, Skyrim, Portal 2, Arkham City, Mortal Kombat, and Battlefield 3. 2010 gets an honourable mention because RDR is probably my favourite game ever.

2007
the last year of innovation, Before Mainstream started repeating the same shit and indie games pumped out better things with a cheaper budget at cheaper prices. Before DLC Overtook the entire market. Before the entire industry fell into this weird social justice/political correctness coma.
The orange box came out, Crysis 1 came out, Halo 3, Lost planet, WOW:BC, Supreme Commander, Crackdown, Peggle, Motorstorm, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Elder Scrolls IV Shivering Isles, C&C3, Super Paper Mario, Forza Motorsport 2, Mario Party 8, The Darkness, Bioshock 1, Metroid Prime 3, Blue Dragon, World In Conflict, Project Gotham Racing 4, Kayne and Lynch 1, Assassins Creed 1, Mass Effect 1, etc.
2014 doesn't look any better. Releasing a game half finished is acceptable now thanks to The word "Beta" being raped and Steam early access being abused.
