    Is This Right?

Hi. I've just bought a ViewSonic 22 inch LED Monitor and a Rosewill adapter for the red and white PS3 component cables and I was wondering if the monitor can still pick up the sound and video from the PS3. Thanks!

Red and White is for Composite cables, not Component cables.

I've never used the adapter so I just can't say if it will pick it up or not.

I was going to say this^. Because the ps3 cables are red, white and yellow would'nt you need an adapter with the yellow too? I've never tried to plug a ps3 into a monitor before so I'm not sure if it would work.

Didn't even see that CaptainHowdy. How did I miss that it was the wrong one in general is beyond me. Maybe something along the lines of

I love those adapters, I have 6 in my house, good for to and dvd to stero and for when I record gameplay footage.

and an adapter of sorts. I know I have one somewhere but I can't remember where I got it from or what it looked like.

Or even easier would probably be hdmi to dvi cable and if your monitor doesnt support dvi, get a dvi to vga adapter.

And if you don't have an HDMI cable you can get them online for cheap. (I got a 10' HDMI cable for I believe $6.00+ with shipping.)

BTW HDMI to DVI adapter is about $2.00 DVI to VGA is about $9 or so.

So for everything plus shipping it would ring about $27-30 for the whole setup.

Are you doing this because your monitor doesn't have built in speakers?
