ok i'm not new to this, i upgraded my last 2 40GB PS3s with my 320GB Western Digitals Scorpio.

well i'm starting to run out of space on my new 160GB so i was thinking about sticking my 320 in again, but the problem is on my last PS3 (which eventually got YLOD) i would suffer game crashes on certain games, making them unplayable cos they would always crash at the same point, i believe this was due to hard drive corruption.

so the thing is will my HDD be fine once i stick it into my 160 and format it or can hard drives be totally unfixable from corruption? was it just my old system that was screwing things up?

also one last question, did Sony sort the problem with slims not being able to be upgraded due to a dodgy firmware release?
