The only time I even hooked it up to the internet was to download the newest firmware or sync my trophies when they started. I didn't play mp until CoD4. So I really didn't have a need to have it hooked up either. A lot of people who own consoles do not have the internet, or do not hook them up to the internet. But you can go just about anywhere these days and use a computer with internet. And download an update, game patches should be available the same way.
I think that too. Many people dont have internet at home, so the only option is to check their e-mails, download stuff/patches from work-school-university-Library via usb and transform them to the ps3.

It's the kind of thinking like this, that scares the shit out of me. You hoping that they win will open up so many doors to restrictions that will rape companies and the consumer. This will force everything in the wrong direction.

Yeah, those fucking companies. They really know how to fuck a stranger in the ass. Paying for the product? MY GOD, THIS IS BLASPHEMY.
Piracy is never excusable. Even less excusable when you're pirating something you love, like games or music.

I can understand both pro- and anti- opinions of this matter.

There is a risk that if the government get involved this will restrict the production of games with unnecessary side-effects if the UFC win this lawsuit. This may also affect the quality of the future games indirectly.

But this is still a prediction !!! can be true or false, only future can tell.

In the other hand how can we counter this new trend ??? (I dont really know if those companies make buggy games on purpose but lets just assume they do)

Its Entertainment afterall so we can always just stop buying these game, no on forcing us to buy them............. BUT we are fans of those games we cant just abandon them.
So what can we do instead of just "place our hands on our eyes and move in the opposite way"??
Well we live in a democratic countries we have atleast the opportunity to make our voice heard. Its not because we are punch of idiots to escort to the courthouse NO its the opposite, its because we are intelligent human being thats why we HAVE A LAW.
Future is frightful thats why we are afraid from it, but who knows what will happend. IMO we should act regarding the problem in our present. Ofcourse I wont neglegt the risks, as mentioned before there are always risks, but we have a problem we cant just say "lets the market solve itself" we are consumer we have the biggest influence of the market WE HAVE to be involved.

Take the Battlefield 1943 incident as an example. I dont say I agree to that lawsuit, but that ONE mand have challenged EA and won. Without the courthouse that will never happend.

I dont wanna say let make this into a habit, ofcourse not. Iam just saying sometime we need to be active, passivity wont solve anything especially when we have a matter like this.

I agree 100%. I also have to agree with Adell that the DLC is out of control. A lot of games release DLC within a few months of initial release and then have the audacity to require customers to pay for it... If it is released that early... it should have been bundled with the game to begin with.
