    03, not 01. And it only has like 360k players. There are quite a few games with the same or better mechanics that have been running longer(Lineage, UO). What makes Dust any different? Cause I see nothing really worth playing in it atm.

    Eve Online isn't a MMOFPS? These games appeal to two completely different style of gamers (PC and Console gamers, Strategy and FPS gamers, take your pick), and thusly this niche concept of true "role playing" and community interaction will have differing levels of success between the two. Face of Mankind already tried pretty much what Dust 514 is trying to do and while the game is still going, I wouldn't consider it a revolutionary product or even a success at this point.

    This concept of community-driven gameplay isn't something that needs to be perfected. How well it works entirely depends on the willingness of the community that's driving it. Console FPS gamers? I don't see them being too willing personally.
