In my opinion, on trophies like these, no. They're no skill involved to achieve a trophy like this, and is more of a waste of time than anything.
I had a threesome last night, there were a couple of no shows but I still had a good time!

I dont think so, for certain trophies anyways. I did it for My Aquarium, it would have taken me months to complete the game if I had not adjusted the dates.

Same with Batman, do they really expect people to go on the game every holiday, wait a year? I think not
    K? Thanks

I wouldn't really call getting trophies like that cheating, when people download a save which gives them all the trophies, that's cheating.

Exactly, when I saw that trophy I instantly thought "I wonder if changing the dates on the PS3 will work "

cheating has more to do with using another player's save file, trading PSN accounts, or hacking the PS3/game in some way.

I don't think it is cheating/glitching/hacking if you do 'mess' with your PS3's clock for these types of trophies. Honestly, I think that some game developers put trophies like these into the game in order to either fill their trophy quota or to artificially increase the gameplay time by forcing the gamer to come back to earn more trophies.

Agreed. Date changing on your console, in my mind, doesn't constitute as cheating. I would consider it as expediting, haha.

No, it's just exploiting the system. You're in no way cracking the game or altering it to suit your liking.

The trophy to meet Calendar Man on specific dates and holidays, they wanted real time but the player can just change the date on his/her PS3 to get it.

    It's on Batman Arkham City.

I personally don't see a problem with changing the date and or time because these trophies are pretty unrealistic. I'm sorry, but i'm busy on holidays. I won't always have time to pop in my arkham city disc and go to the calender man to work on a trophy when all of my family is over.
There's no problem with changing the date. Now, if you're using a trophy hack such as SOCOM's then you're a loser. There's no reason to cheat on something like that that shows your personal accomplishments. But i know you're not doing that, so no worries

I think it's a pussy way out, but I also think boosting is a pussy way out. If you can't earn the trophy without having your buddy stand there and take shots in the head do you really deserve the trophy? In my opinion NO!

Yeah, but what happens on a game like AVP or FEAR 2 that has a completely dead community that you are unable to play legitimately? If people aren't there to boost it's impossible to get the plat =\

Whether its wrong to cheat on trophies is entirely up to you. Besides, they are nothing but achievements so they don't involve legal action, so in that standpoint there isn't anything wrong with it. It isn't look at very well however, and on a trophy earning perspective, it isn't the way to go if you want to consider yourself a trophy hunter.

In the case you describe, I wouldn't call it cheating. But Is it really necessary to do this? Just wait and earn the trophy like it's meant to be. At least that's how I did it.

Then you don't get the plat and your life goes on or better yet get a bunch of people together to actually play the game instead of boosting. (Hell you were going to take time to get a group anyhow might as well play, right?) If you play with your group and you don't get the trophy, guess you didn't deserve it.
