Will PS3 Bluetooth headsets be supported by PS4?

I really haven't found a definitive answer to this question yet, if one exists. I have an official Sony mono bluetooth headset for PS3--I think the one that came out for use with Warhawk--(the one with the USB dock and all) and was wondering if it would be supported by the PS4. If so, will all the features also still be useable (on screen battery indicator, etc--I forget them all). Or will this compatibility require some kind of update from Sony first? Thoughts?

No idea, but I'm going to assume Bluetooth will be supported and given the PS3 supports third-party Bluetooth devices, I'm inclined to think the PS4 will follow suit.

It also appears that existing PS3-supported headsets using Optical or 3.5mm Jack inputs will work on the PS4, though nothing has yet been confirmed.

MS has changed their headphone port for the XB1 to improve data throughput, but they're releasing adaptors so old headsets will work with the new console.

Long story short - don't toss your old audio gear and don't buy any new stuff until we get confirmation from Sony and MS. The old stuff *should* work, though I doubt the PS3 XMB integration will function in the new PS4 UI.

If that's true I feel bad for those who bought those expensive pulse headsets

With the possible exception of XMB integration.

The system architecture, OS and UI has changed on the PS4, so there's no guarantee that PS3 accessories will work on the PS4, at least not as intended.
