Destiny's Story Takes 9-10 Hours to Complete

The user who completed the game, JakeKav, stated that it took him approximately nine to ten hours to complete the game’s story. While he seemed to feel a little let down by the length of the story, he did seem to enjoy the game despite the length.

Hey! The game isn't over until you beat every single human player on the planet.

Yeah I remember someone beating Skyrim's story in about 15 hours when it first came out. Easily a 100+ hour game.

Sometimes i think doing runs like that just spoil and take the fun out of a great game, or any game for that matter

The story lines in online games usually don't take that long by themselves, but if you want to experience the rest of the game, then you typically deviate from the story missions. For example, I've only done the first 5 sort missions so far, but I am enjoying patrols and PvP too.

Apparently there's a lot more to do beyond the story, so I'm not worried. I got this to play with friends. I doubt we'll get bogged down by the lack of story length.

Grind. That's all there is to do once you've finished the lack of story this game has

Can you really say you finished the story when the game had next-to-none to begin with? It's a pretty impressive story - if you're mentally challenged and in a coma.

Play it for what it is - a brain dead shooter with loot grind elements, and you'll probably be satisfied if you can get over the load times.

13-14 hours of play so far and I'm still on Venus, and just about getting to Level 20. No argument that the story is slight, but you more than get the gist of what's going down beyond it.

Can't say I was compelled by the plot in the first place anyhow, all that matters for me is the shooting is bloody good and playing any mode with friends is awesome fun.

Considering how much I disliked Halo's MP (and given how many people seem to say that Destiny's is very similiar), it's somewhat suprising that the Crucible that has taken up most of my time so far.

The vault of glass will take some work. It's nothing like anything else in the game. My teams currently stuck on the gatekeeper boss section.
